THE TOADSTOOLS

While not worth a trip in and of itself, the Toadstools are a nice stop if you are traveling along Highway 89. There is signed parking area located just west of Cottonwood Road. You see the first group of Toadstools after about a mile, but there are several more if you continue to explore the area. Veer to the left after you've visited the first group and walk about a quarter of a mile and you will find another group of hoodoos which bear a very strong resemblance to the Wahweep Hoodoos. There may be even more in the area, but I was too tired from hiking in Buckskin Gulch that morning to want to explore further.
