COTTONWOOD NARROWS

The Cottonwood Narrows are are a three-mile round-trip hike located along Cottonwood Road about four miles south of Grosvenor Arch. The road to the parking area is accessible to low-clearance vehicles. Bring good directions, as the parking area was not marked when I visited in April of 2008. This is an enjoyable walk with no major obstacles. I hiked up the canyon for about a half-hour, turning around when the narrows ended and the canyon opened up. In addition to the main canyon, there were also two short, narrow side canyons that were fun to walk down. While not quite as cool as other nearby slot canyons such as Round Valley Draw and Willis Creek, it's worth a visit if you are in the area.
